At the LA Auto Show, Hyundai premiered its new eight-passenger SUV, the 2020 Hyundai Palisade, which will be available next summer. This midsize crossover will replace the Hyundai Santa Fe XL and will offer a model-exclusive powertrain: an all-new 3.8 L V6, deploying 291 hp and 262 lbf·ft of torque. Equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and available HTRAC® all-wheel drive, the 2020 Hyundai Palisade easily overshadows the competition!
Despite the fact that the 2020 Hyundai Palisade is a bit shorter than most of the SUVs in its class, it has greater cargo volume than the Ford Explorer or the Toyota Highlander, with 1,296 liters behind the second-row seats. It also promises 1,076 mm of legroom in the second row seating, higher than that of the Highlander, Pilot, Pathfinder or Explorer!
Did you know that the 2020 Hyundai Palisade is the only vehicle on the market that will alert you if a child is accidentally left in the back seat? It’s also equipped with an impressive range of safety systems, including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Following Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go and a new system called Safe Exit Assist, which temporarily locks the doors if it detects vehicles approaching from the rear. This prevents passengers from coming face-to-face with danger. The system works even if the driver attempts to deactivate the Electronic Child Safety Lock!
